How it works

From empty slot to paid booking in three steps

No ad network, no sales calls, no invoices to chase. You set the rules once — advertisers do the rest.

  1. Create an ad slot

Choose the size, your daily price, the minimum number of days and whether you want to approve each ad first.

    Size300 × 250
    Price$30 / day
    Minimum7 days
    Approve ads firstOn
  2. Paste one line of HTML

Put the embed code where the ad should appear. Until someone books, it shows an "Advertise here" banner that links to your booking page.

    <a href="…/link">
      <img src="…/img"
           width="300" height="250">
    </a>
  3. Advertisers book & pay

They pick free dates, upload a banner (auto-cropped to fit) and pay by card or PayPal. The money lands in your Stripe or PayPal account and the ad goes live on its start date.

Getting paid

The money goes to you. Not to a middleman.

Advertisers pay by card through Stripe Checkout on your Stripe account, or with PayPal straight into your PayPal. There's no payout threshold and no waiting for a network to pay you at the end of the month.

  • Paid at booking. Card payments land in your Stripe balance, PayPal payments in your PayPal account. Offer one or both.
  • Approve before you charge. With approval on, a card is only authorized: approve to charge it, decline to release it. PayPal advertisers pay once you approve.
  • Receipts from Stripe or PayPal. Advertisers get their receipt from the payment provider. Card refunds go out from Spreadiom; PayPal refunds from your PayPal account.
  • Try it in test mode. Use Stripe test keys and test cards before you take real money.

Spreadiom's 5% fee isn't taken out of your payments — we send one invoice a month for completed bookings, payable by PayPal. How billing works

What you get

A booking page that sells for you — and the tools to run it

Everything an advertiser needs to say yes, and everything you need to stay in control.

A booking page for every slot

Size, price, live availability calendar and recent impressions and clicks — all on one page you can share or link from your "Advertise with us" page. Advertisers check out without creating an account.

Availability calendar Traffic proof Auto-crop to size Card checkout

Brand-safe by default

Uploaded banners are screened by AI for adult, gambling and drug content before they can be paid for. Turn on approval to review every ad yourself.

Fast, private embed

Plain HTML with fixed dimensions: no JavaScript, no cookies, no layout shift. Images are served from a CDN.

Empty slots sell themselves

When nothing is booked, your slot shows an "Advertise here" banner that opens the booking page.

Clear numbers

Impressions, clicks and CTR per slot and per booking. Advertisers see their own results on a private page.

Runs on autopilot

Ads start and stop on schedule. You get an email for every booking, approval requests come with one-click review links, and advertisers get a report when their campaign ends.

Cancellations handled

Cancel a booking from your dashboard and the advertiser is refunded — in full, or just the days that haven't run yet (automatically for Stripe, from your PayPal for PayPal bookings).

Ad networks, doing it by hand, or Spreadiom

Direct ad sales usually pay more per slot than network ads — Spreadiom removes the admin work that makes them hard.

FAQ

Questions publishers ask

What is Spreadiom?

Spreadiom is a tool for website owners to sell banner ad space directly to advertisers. Each ad slot gets its own booking page where advertisers choose dates, upload a banner and pay by card or PayPal. Payments go straight to the publisher's own Stripe or PayPal account.

How do I get paid?

Connect your own Stripe account, add your PayPal email, or both. Card payments go through Stripe Checkout into your Stripe balance; PayPal payments go straight into your PayPal account. Either way the money is yours right away. Spreadiom never holds your money.

What does it cost?

Creating an account, ad slots and booking pages is free. Spreadiom charges a 5% platform fee on completed bookings, invoiced once a month and payable by PayPal. Stripe's own card processing fees are charged by Stripe as usual. Test-mode bookings are never billed.

Do advertisers need an account?

No. Advertisers book as guests with just a name and email. After paying they get a private booking page with the status, dates and live impressions and clicks for their ad.

Can I approve every ad before it goes live?

Yes. Turn on approval for a slot and the advertiser's card is only authorized at checkout. The charge goes through when you approve; if you decline, the hold is released and nothing is charged. With PayPal, the advertiser pays after you approve. Requests you don't review in time are canceled automatically.

Will the ad slow down my website?

No. The embed is one line of plain HTML — a link and an image with fixed width and height. There is no JavaScript, no tracking cookie and no layout shift, and images are served from a CDN.

What shows in the slot when nobody has booked it?

An "Advertise here" banner in your slot's exact size. Clicking it opens your booking page, so an empty slot works as a sales lead instead of blank space.

Which websites does it work with?

Any site where you can paste HTML: WordPress, Ghost, Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Framer, forums, documentation sites and hand-coded pages.
