Payments

Bookings pay straight into your own account

Advertisers pay by card on your Stripe account or with PayPal into your PayPal. Spreadiom never holds your money, and our fee is never deducted from a payment.

  • Charged at booking — or when you approve. With approval on, a card is only authorized at checkout and charged when you approve; PayPal advertisers get a payment link once you approve. Declined or unreviewed requests are never charged.
  • Paid out as usual. Money reaches your bank on your normal Stripe or PayPal schedule, and their processing fees work exactly as they always do.
  • Set up in minutes. For PayPal, just enter your PayPal email. For cards, paste your Stripe API keys (a restricted key is recommended) — they're stored encrypted and Spreadiom creates the webhook for you.
  • Test mode included. Use Stripe test keys and test cards before taking real money.

Billing

How billing works

One invoice a month, only for what you actually earned — with plenty of time to pay before anything changes.

  1. A booking is charged

    When an advertiser’s card is charged in live mode — at checkout, or when you approve — Spreadiom records a 5% fee for that booking.

  2. The month ends

    Fees for every booking charged during the month are added up. Refunded amounts are left out.

  3. Invoice on the 1st

    We email your invoice in USD on the 1st of the month, listing each booking it covers.

  4. Pay by PayPal within 14 days

    Pay with PayPal from the invoice email or from Billing in your dashboard.

  5. Reminders

    If the invoice is still open, we send a reminder before the due date and a few more after it.

  6. New bookings pause

    14 days after the due date, your booking pages stop taking new bookings. Ads that are already running keep running.

  7. Restored on payment

    Pay the invoice and your booking pages take bookings again instantly.

Is Spreadiom really free to start?

Yes. Creating an account, ad slots and booking pages costs nothing, and there's no subscription, setup fee or monthly minimum. You only pay the 5% platform fee on bookings that are completed and charged.

What counts as a completed booking?

A live booking the advertiser actually paid for, by card or PayPal: at checkout on slots without approval, or after you approve it on slots with approval turned on. Test-mode bookings, requests you decline and requests that expire before they're paid are never billed.

Is the 5% taken out of my payments?

No. Advertisers pay into your own Stripe or PayPal account, and the full amount arrives there, minus only Stripe's or PayPal's processing fee. Spreadiom never holds your money. Instead, we send you one invoice a month for the 5%.

Who pays the Stripe and PayPal fees?

Stripe and PayPal charge their standard processing fee on each payment, based on your own account's pricing and how the advertiser pays. That fee goes to them and is not part of Spreadiom's 5%.

When and how do I pay the invoice?

On the 1st of each month we email an invoice in USD for the previous month's completed bookings. It's due within 14 days, and you pay it with PayPal. If you had no completed bookings, there's no invoice.

What happens if I refund a booking?

Refunded amounts aren't billed. If you cancel a booking and refund the advertiser — in full, or only for the days that haven't run yet — the 5% applies only to the amount you kept.

What happens if I don't pay an invoice?

We send reminders first. If an invoice is still unpaid 14 days after its due date, your booking pages stop taking new bookings, while ads that are already running keep running. As soon as you pay, new bookings are restored instantly.

Do advertisers pay any extra fees?

No. Advertisers pay exactly your daily price times the number of days they book. Spreadiom adds no booking fee on their side.

Can I try it without real money?

Yes. Connect your Stripe test keys and book your own slot with Stripe's test cards to see the whole flow: checkout, approval, emails and stats. Test-mode bookings are never billed.

Is there a contract or minimum traffic?

No. There's no minimum traffic and no long-term commitment. You can pause a slot or stop using Spreadiom whenever you like; you're only billed for bookings that were already completed.
